General Manager, Corporate Services
Full Time Position
Northern District Community Health (NDCH) is seeking to employ a General Manager, Corporate Services. This is a multi-faceted, highly strategic role that provides business advice and support across the organisation.

THE ORGANISATION:
Northern District Community Health (NDCH) has strong placed based connections to the rural communities we serve, developed over 30 years. The organisation provides community health services across the Gannawarra, Loddon, Swan Hill, Buloke and further and operates out of six sites: Kerang, Koondrook, Cohuna, Quambatook, Pyramid Hill and Boort. Through working with local organisations, NDCH has been able to lead and partner in many successful initiatives that have brought better healthcare outcomes to the people in our catchment. 

NDCH is a Company Limited by Guarantee, and an independent, not for profit, registered Community Health Service including a Medical Clinic. Predominantly funded through state and federal governments, NDCH has a Board of Directors overseeing the implementation of the Strategic Plan that includes a focus on robust, transparent and accountable governance.  NDCH delivers a range of services including allied health; NDIS, general practice; counselling; housing; drug and alcohol services; health promotion and community nursing. 

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting directly to the CEO, and a key member of the Executive Team, the General Manager Corporate Services plays a critical role in assisting NDCH achieve its strategic objectives.

You will have responsibility for all Corporate Service functions  and undertake duties associated with being the Company Secretary. You will be part of a positive, energetic and dedicated team who are passionate about reducing rural health inequity underpinned by the social determinants of health to improve health and wellbeing for all.

THE PERSON:
You are likely to be an experienced finance professional who has a background in leading corporate services functions such as risk and compliance, HR and IT. Some experience in medical clinic management is desirable.

You understand and are committed to the values of, and benefits delivered by, the not-for-profit sector.

You are a team player, who is respectful and inclusive and provides information to team members to support them in their roles, in a clear and transparent way. 

THE LOCATION:
The position is based in Kerang, which is the largest centre within the Gannawarra Shire; a friendly, welcoming and inclusive community that values freedom and space. Kerang has a strong connection to heritage and a rich sporting and volunteering culture. Kerang draws in surrounding rural communities with its choice of schools, agricultural support services and strong health sector. Kerang has a busy retail sector, with some lovely new boutique businesses commencing in the last few years. Kerang (population 4,000) is located in the mid-north of Victoria and supports a region of approximately 18,000 people. With over 55 lakes, swamps and lagoons that stretch from Kerang to Lake Boga in the North, the area is popular for those seeking aquatic activities from water sports to boating and fishing. The district hosts a number of sporting competitions including cricket, football, netball, tennis and golf. Education facilities includes childcare, kindergartens, four primary schools and 2 secondary schools.
