Health Promotion Worker
Full Time Contract Position Until December 2021
Northern District Community Health (NDCH) is looking to employ a skilled and motivated Health Promotion Worker to work with individuals and their families.  This person will working within NDCH’s multi-disciplinary team as part of the Health Promotion team. 

Northern District Community Health, including the Medical Clinic provides a broad range of health and welfare services to a population of approximately 16,000 people spread over an area of approximately 8,000 square kilometres. 

It is desirable that Applicants have an in depth understanding of health promotion principles and practice, a strong commitment to early intervention and the ability to engage GP practices, health care agencies and community members. Prior knowledge of health promotion, to encourage an optimum level of health and wellbeing for clients, is desirable however support from management and team members will be available to applicants who undertake this role.

Health Promotion qualifications are desirable but proven past experience in this area of work will be considered as well where qualifications do not exist. 

A current Victorian driver’s licence is mandatory.
