Generalist & AOD Counsellor
Northern District Community Health is looking to employ a full time Counsellor to deliver Generalist and Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) services in Gannawarra, Northern Loddon and Buloke Shires. Applications for part time will also be considered. This clinician will work with people via a combination of face to face and telehealth options utilising a recovery model of care. Ongoing support into the community post counselling will be available for clients at both NDCH and through other organisations.
The successful applicant will work in conjunction with a diverse community health-based team, including General Practitioners and other AOD & Mental Health Clinicians. There is an expectation that this person will have either completed the AOD Skill Set, working towards it or make a commitment to commencing this training in the first 6 months of employment. This position will be included in the Community Support Team and will also be supported by the broader NDCH team. Monthly external clinical supervision will be part of the organisational support for this role.
A current Victorian driver’s license is mandatory.
