Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) Counsellor
Part Time Position (4 days per week)
Northern District Community Health (NDCH) is looking to employ a part time, well skilled and motivated Alcohol and Other Drug Counsellor to deliver services in Gannawarra, Northern Loddon and Buloke Shires. The clinician will work with people with AOD issues via telehealth or face to face options utilising a recovery model of care. Ongoing support into the community post counselling will be available for clients at both NDCH and through other organisations.
The successful applicant will work in conjunction with a diverse community health based team, including General Practitioners and other AOD & Mental Health Clinicians. This position will be included in the Community Support Team and will also be supported by the broader NDCH team. Monthly external clinical supervision will be part of the organisational support for this role.
A commitment to interdisciplinary team work and highly effective communication skills are a must in this role.
