Student Placements

Due to COVID-19 Restrictions, we are currently accepting any student placements,
but please note that these may change depending on Government Restrictions.
STUDENT PLACEMENTS
NDCH has long been committed to supporting students in their professional development.  Student Placements at NDCH provide students from a broad range of disciplines with the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the principles and practices required in providing a range of community health services in a rural setting.

NDCH also takes a number Work Experience students each year from the secondary schools in the district, with an aim of offering insight into the many varied professional opportunities in the health industry.

APPLY FOR A STUDENT PLACEMENT
NDCH receives a high number of requests for student placements annually.  Each application is considered on whether the Service can offer the student a placement that is appropriate to their course learning, the capacity of the Service to make the placement worthwhile for the student, and the commitment of time of the supervising staff.

From October 2021, new applicants, volunteers and students will be required to provide evidence of their COVID-19 Vaccination Status.

If you want more information on our Student Placement Program, please call: (03) 5451 0200.
