What is School Focused Youth Service (SFYS)?
SFYS supports students from Grade 5 to Year 12 who are attending school but are vulnerable to or are showing signs of disengaging from school. These students are known as the SFYS Target Group.
How does our School Focused Youth Service assist vulnerable students?
SFYS works with schools to establish and deliver funded interventions for the SFYS Target Group.
The key features of these interventions are that they provide opportunities for these students to:
SFYS also provides funding for the capacity building of school staff to ensure an ongoing process of improved teaching practice and improved student learning.
Where is the service available?
SFYS is available to schools within the Gannawarra Shire and selected schools within the Swan Hill Rural City Council, Loddon Shire, Buloke Shire and Campaspe Shire.
