Simplifying daily tasks…

Occupational therapists help people who are frail, aged or have a disability to maintain maximum independence, live in their home safely and participate in everyday activities.

Occupational therapy can assist you with:
  • Teaching clients and their carers to use adaptive equipment to assist with independence
  • Suggesting changes to your home to improve safety and independence
  • Measuring the needs of people with a lasting or worsening illness or disability
  • Making tasks such as showering, dressing or preparing meals easier
  • Memory problems
  • Scooter and wheelchair assessment
  • Pressure care
  • Joint protection and falls safety
  • Applying for help to pay for equipment or home modifications

What is the cost? 
This service will be charged at the applicable rate, outlined in the fees schedule.

What area do we cover:
​The Gannawarra and Northern Loddon Shire Councils.  Please contact the team for specific areas that we cover.

How do I access the services?​
You can contact our customer engagement team on 03 - 5451 0200.  
Health Professionals and other agencies can use our referral template available in the resources section of this website. 
​
​People over 65 years of age (50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) needing OT services need to be referred using the Australian Government's My Aged Care system.  Call the My Aged Care Contact Centre on 1800 200 422 or use the online form here.
