NDCH Rural Health Scholarship

NDCH Rural Health Scholarship
Northern District Community Health (NDCH) is committed to providing a range of high quality health services in Northern Victoria, to meet the needs of residents in Gannawarra and Loddon Shires.

NDCH’s annual Rural Health Scholarship Program provides funding to rural
students who have a strong commitment to a continued and future health
professional practice in country areas.

Scholarship Eligibility
Applicants should consider the following:
  • Applicants must be full time students currently studying or about to commence an undergraduate degree at University in a relevant discipline. (Medicine, Allied Health or Nursing); or
  • Full time students currently studying or about to commence a required graduate or professional entry course which will lead to the student, upon graduation, being fully qualified to commence clinical practice.
  • People of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent are encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants must reside in or have resided in the rural LGAs of Gannawarra or Loddon prior to undertaking their tertiary education.
Eligible schools include:
  • Boort Secondary College
  • Pyramid Hill College
  • Kerang Technical High School
  • Kerang Christian College
  • Cohuna Secondary College.
Submissions
Completed applications must be received by 5.00pm on Wednesday, 31 October 2018. The NDCH Rural Health Scholarship provides successful applicants with a share of $5,000.

Applications will be assessed annually in November by the NDCH Board. Successful applicants will be notified and an announcement of the results will be made at the presentation night of the relevant school(s) prior to the end of the year.
