Rural Withdrawal Nurse - Part Time
Part Time Contract Position
Northern District Community Health (NDCH) is looking to employ a Rural Withdrawal Nurse for 2 days a week. The successful applicant would be required be a Division 1 Registered Nurse currently with the four Alcohol and Other Drug core competencies or working towards completing them on appointment.
The position will be working directly with young people, adults and their families to reduce or cease the use of Alcohol and other drugs. This role will be working within the Gannawarra, Northern Loddon and Buloke Shires.
Training and ongoing support in the four competencies will be available throughout this time.
This role is supported by several well-experience Rural Withdrawal Nurses that are part of the Community Support Team and the broader NDCH team. The Community Support Team consist of Specialist Homelessness Services, Mental Health Nursing, Mental Health and Disability Group Coordinator, NDIS Support Coordination and Alcohol and other drug Counsellors.
A commitment to interdisciplinary team work and highly effective communication skills are a must in this role.
